June Montly Roundup

What books and/or magazines did I read this month? - Time Traveller's Wife (thanks to Joy!) - Good Housekeeping and Health Today Mags What movies and/or TV shows did I watch this month? - Heroes Season 3 - Brothers and Sisters Season 3 - He's not Just Into You - Marley and Me - Toy Story 1 and 2 What special days did I celebrate and how? - Father's Day - Ate A's classmate (Sachi) 2nd birthday What gifts did I give and/or receive? - Ate A gave a toy for Sachi What illnesses or health concerns did I have? - Baby A is having infection again :( - My brother was positive with AH1N1 so we had to stay in the house for 7 long days from the day we were together! What fun things did I do with my friends and/or family? - My friend Mage and I metup for snacks - Ate out for Father's Day - Met up with relatives from the US and had dinner in Serendra What new foods, recipes or restaurants did I try this month? - Peking Garden in Trinoma - Abe in Serendra What special or unusual purchases did I make? - I shopped a lot again this month :D (bad!) I'm officially stopping it except for some loots for my birthday. LOL! What were this month's disappointments? - We all had AH1N1 scare because my brother was positive. What were my accomplishments this month? - Good thing we didn't get the virus. Baby A is fine now. My brother is fine now and the Yayas are getting better with their cough and colds. THANK GOD! - Still expressing milk on the 7th month. This month was pretty stressful and tiring. I haven't been so tired in my life. Probably because of the anxiety of waiting for the symptoms to come and at the same time praying that we would all be alright. It was the longest 7 days of our lives. But when you look at the bright side, we had fun being together at home. Hubby didn't go to work and Ate A didn't go to school either. So we just stayed at home, ate a lot of JUNK FOOD (which was very, very bad), watched Toy Story several times, and actually had fun. Thank you Lord for making everybody better.

Options Screeners for the Investors

I haven't encountered an options screener since today. Even if I'm not into stocks, I still found this product amazing. These are actually tools that is used as a decision support technology that identifies the highest return in option trades. It is a package with a complete suite of educational materials. What I also like about this product is that it has a premium toll-free customer support. Just what I needed, since as I have mentioned, I haven't done these things before. It also provides the essential data you need to invest with stock options. Something that is worth checking out especially if you are a stock investor.

Plans for this Weekend.

Definitely no plans for the weekend. We are just staying at home Saturday and Sunday. I know, it is so not us right? But we have to. And for a change, we are just going to rest. Since Andie is still having on and off fever we will monitor her for the rest of the weekend. Her tooth just came out yesterday so this is probably the reason why she is having fever (I hope!). We are not going to eat out for now. At least with that I won't be needing some fat burners since I will make sure that we will be eating healthy at home. And I can continue on with my exercises too! Although it doesn't sound too fun for me, but I'm sure it will. I can catch up on my reading - I'm almost done with Time Traveller's Wife. I have 2 magazines waiting for me. Hubby and I can have brewed coffee for breakfast without having to rush because we will just be at home. WE can play with Ate A while Baby A watches. We can also have a movie marathon and we can have popcorn too. I better go now, and start planning for the weekend at home. Have a great weekend everyone! (*wink*)

The Future XBOX.

Have you seen the future XBox?

It is pretty impressive and unbelievable! I saw it a couple of weeks ago in YouTube and boy, I don't know what to say. Check it out!

Impressed? Well, actually, I was pretty scared. The technology has emerged big time and God knows what will happen next.

Check out the features from Zimbio.com:

Project Natal (pronounced "na-tall") is the code name for a "controller-free gaming and entertainment experience" by Microsoft for the Xbox 360 video game platform. Based on an add-on peripheral for the Xbox 360 console, Project Natal enables users to control and interact with the Xbox 360 without the need to touch a game controller, through gestures, spoken commands,[1] or presented objects and images. The project is aimed at broadening the Xbox 360's audience beyond its hardcore base of young males. Project Natal was first announced on June 1 at the 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo. Microsoft has not revealed any price or release date information for Project Natal.

Our Father's Day Weekend

It was a busy weekend for us. We slept over at the in-laws from Saturday to Sunday. Hubby and I ran a few errands Saturday afternoon, went to an anticipated mass and then the fun night began!

The Daddies played poker.

The kids watched "Finding Nemo" for 5 minutes and then decided that playing is better, so they played until 11:30 pm!

I, on the other hand read "Time Traveler's Wife" through my phone while putting Andie to sleep. It was sort of a quality time for me and Andie. I was thinking that in two years time, she will be joining her cousins play until 11:30PM too! I'm sure she will have a blast just like her Ate.

I slept after a few chapters of the book feeling unsatisfied because I wanted to read more! But my mind and eyes won't cooperate because I was too tired. I hope that I can find more time to read that wonderful book!

We woke up early, as in 5:30AM. Andie has been a light sleeper lately and cries in the middle of the night. So we assumed that she was not feeling well. True enough she wasn't and up to now her fever is still on and off. :( I hope she gets well really soon.

We left my in-laws' house at around 11AM to pickup something for the Dada!

Cupcakes by FRUPCAKES.

I actually ordered this a month ago! Because I knew that the owner is very busy. I wanted to try her cupcakes for Andie's first birthday party. So it's like hitting two birds in one stone. LOL! More photos and reviews here.

Then we went straight to Peking Garden in Trinoma. The food was greeeaaat! Too bad the place was packed and noisy. It made us uncomfortable. Hubby wasn't able to eat a lot too. Check out what we ordered in my travel blog. Here are our photos before lunch.

BFFs for Life!?

I really hope so! (*grin*)

Daytime Nap Has Benefits Beyond Rest

I just had to share this! I came across a news article in Yahoo.com and since there was a time that Ate A didn't want to take a nap. We would always fight just for her to take a nap and I almost gave up. Good thing I didn't because as Yahoo! said, there are benefits beyond rest especially for kids. Daytime Nap Has Benefits Beyond Rest for Kids MONDAY, June 8 (HealthDay News) -- Children's nap time is not only beneficial to caregivers who may need a break. For children aged 4 to 5 years, taking a nap during the day may help reduce hyperactivity, anxiety and depression, new study findings show. In the study of 62 children categorized as either napping (77 percent) or non-napping (23 percent), researchers found that those who didn't take daytime naps had higher levels of anxiety, hyperactivity and depression. The study findings were presented June 8 at the annual meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies, in Seattle. Children who took naps did so an average of 3.4 days a week, the researchers found. The study data was based on the parents' or caregivers' reporting of the children's typical weekday and weekend bedtime/wake time and napping patterns. Family demographics and behavioral assessments of the children were also included in the analysis. "There is a lot of individual variability in [the age] when children are ready to give up naps. I would encourage parents to include a quiet 'rest' time in their daily schedule that would allow children to nap if necessary," lead author Brian Crosby, a postdoctoral fellow of psychology at Pennsylvania State University, said in a news release from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. An optimal age for children to stop napping hasn't yet been determined, Crosby noted. Article grabbed here.

Early Breakfast for Old Friends

It was a very early breakfast for us. Our original CFC household decided to have breakfast for the Aurellados who are leaving for Singapore for good.

It was potluck so everybody brought food! We had shredded tinapa, longganiza, bread, donuts, tomatoes, orange juice, and coffee! It was a sumptuous breakfast!

Of course the get together won't end without some stories and shots of alcohol! That early!? Yes that's us!

Plans for the Weekend

This weekend was supposed to be our "rest weekend", but as always something would always come up that would make our weekend busy. We will be having a parent orientation this weekend for Ate A's school and it will take 3 hours of our time. It's ok, we're pretty excited about it actually. After that, I will have to do some diet pill reviews on the leading diet pills in the industry. I need it badly because I'm going to stop breastfeeding in a few weeks or 2 months. Since I can't stop eating, I badly need a diet pill that really works. Hubby and I then planned a night out. We don't know where as of now but we will have a date. Movie? Dinner? We will decide by tomorrow. Ate A will be attending a birthday party this weekend too! She is excited about it. So far these are just our plans for the weekend. I hope we can rest at least for a while to recharge for another busy week next week!

I'm a Big Girl Now.

That's Ate A talking. You would usually hear her say that every day. Well, at least every minute of everyday. The sad thing is that when I try to hug her she would say, "I'm a big girl now, Mama!". When I try to kiss her she would say the same. But when I tell her to pack up her toys and put it back to where it belong, she would say, "I'm still a baby Mama, I can't do that!". LOL! Oh well, talk about reasoning out at 3 (yr old)! I must admit, it is pretty exhausting reasoning and battling (almost) everyday with a 3-yr old. But at least I'm assured that she is having a mind of her own. Check out her photos with her new balloon... IMG_6119 IMG_6120 Now, I'm off to find a reliable international travel insurance for our future international trips. It is not going to be soon yet because of my scare from swine flu but for now, I'm just doing some research so that I'm ready when that time comes.

My Mom's Petition

We are still waiting for that day. The day that my Mom will be called by the US embassy for her interview. She and my Dad has a pending petition by my Aunt in the US. They were actually petitioned several years ago. TO be exact, it was last 1985. Yes that long! But they have submitted their papers already and now waiting for that call. She is getting excited already. We all are actually and we would definitely miss them both when they settle down there soon.

Have you tried Playing Paintball?

I heard a lot about the game of paintball. It is the grown-ups version of playing War Games. There are a lot of information available about paintball over the internet. They even have paintball gun package that you can avail from ZephyrPaintball.com. Paintball Gear are sold in low prices and they offer free shipping on paintball guns, paintball goggles, hoppers and paintball starter packages. If you love paintball you must check out their website. What I like about paintball is that it involves thinking, tactics, physical ability and shooting at your opponent! There are also paintball rules that you have to consider. Whether you’re amateur or professional, I have read that paintball is a fun-filled and adrenaline packed sport.

My Online Shopping Loots

Uh-oh. I shopped again! This is not good. LOL! Actually ever since I signed up in Multiply I just can't help but look, shop, and shop! Check out what I got from 4shoppingonly.multiply.com. Photo grabbed from the multiply site.

I really hope it fits though! I'm having second thoughts in buying because of the measurements. But just in case it wouldn't, will probably give this as a gift to my cousins. Here are more dresses that I might buy from prettyperfect12.multiply.com. Photo grabbed from the multiply site.

I'm really getting hooked! I should avoid multiply from now on. LOL!

Wedding Favors

I realized after the wedding last Saturday that we didn't receive any unique wedding favors. Probably because they had a photobooth already that serves as the wedding favor for the guests. Too bad we missed it and didn't get to have our photos taken. I realized that weddings nowadays are getting unique especially their wedding favors. It has to be something useful and not just that ordinary dust-collector. When I got married, we gave out a spa kit for the guests. Something cute and useful. When I was preparing for our big day, I checked out The Knot Wedding Shop. There are so many ideas there that you might want to try too! I read that have been the largest retailer of wedding supplies on the Internet.

Make-up by Dandy

I posted a couple of days ago about going to a wedding in Fernbrook. Since by brother Dandy is now into doing makeup services, I asked him to do my makeup for that night. He is getting pro at it! I love my makeup to bits! Check out our "makeup session"...

He is offering a very low rate as of now! And I can say that he's really good! Check out his profile at dandyduanemakeup.multiply.com.

Be Original!

I was tagged by Dez. Thanks sis! This is a nice way to promote original content in blogging! Nowadays there are bloggers who would just copy and paste contents from other websites. This is a no-no! What's the point in having your own blog if you just copy the contents right? Check it out. You might want to post it in your blogs too. (*wink*)

Shopping for a Jewelry

I used to not like jewelries very much. But when I saw this designer jewelry I can't help but think about it all the time. And since I love to shop online, I tried checking out Holsted Jewelers. They have provided exclusively designed jewelry, gifts and accessories to millions of customers. And I have read that these customers are really satisfied with the jewelries that they have purchased. The nice thing about Holsted Jewelers is that they know how to be fashionable! I like that. But of course I would also like to consider the traditional jewelries like ring, necklace and bracelets because I want it to last until I hand it over to my kids.

Alex and Jill's Wedding in Fernbrook

Before moving on to do some tasks about ephedra sinica I would like to post what we did last Saturday night. Last Saturday, May 31, 2009 we were invited at Alex and Jill's Wedding in Fernbrook. Alex is Hubby's nephew. It was our first time in Fernbrook and we immediately fell in love with the place. It was very spacious (too bad it was raining that night). It was so much like Fernwood though and I wonder if it was owned by the same owners.

Check out our photos.

It was a nice wedding. It makes me want to get married again! LOL!

New Moon's first Official Trailer

Another worth sharing grabbed from Diane's MyPaperScraps.com blog!

New Moon's first Official Trailer!

Check it out!

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON trailer in HD

6 more months to go and then I will be seeing this movie that I've been waiting for! I can't wait! Should I read the book again? I don't know. Because honestly, New Moon has been one of my favorite among the four, well except of course the first and last book.

So, now I'm off to find some appetite suppressant because I can't seem to find a way to stop eating!

Cold Play's Viva La Vida

Hubby and I went to a wedding last Saturday and heard this wonderful song from ColdPlay. It was played during the couple's AVP. I love that song, the only is that the lyrics seem wrong. So right before I check out some light fixtures for the house, I tried to search for it in YouTube. The rhythm is just heart-warming! Check it out.
