It's time to go to EK!

I noticed lately that I couldn't find the energy to blog or even scrap. Is it because of the 2 long weeks without househelp (thank God, she has arrived last Tues and everything's back to normal somehow) or probably the super hot weather that I just couldn't stay in one place for a long time?

Anyway, Hubby and I went out last Friday (since our usual household was moved to Wednesday) to watch 300. We haven't watched a movie since Superman Returns. LOL! I missed watching movie. Before when I was in highschool (or that was college!?), I used to watch a movie by myself. :)

All along I thought the movie was "modern". Until I saw the movie poster at the theater. Haay, it's just goes to show that I NEED to go out MORE! waheehehe!

Anyway, I liked the movie. Hubby was even surprised that I suggested it. And our conversation was like this:

Hubby: Are you sure you want to watch 300? It's not your kind of movie.
ME: Hey, I liked TROY.
Hubby: It was Brad Pitt.
ME: I never liked Brad Pitt.
Hubby: Really??
ME: Yeah.
Hubby: Diba, Brad Pitt is cute! And has a great body?
ME: naaaaah....

LOL! Hubby is so cute!

..:..

Last Saturday, it was my sister's family day at work. It was held at Enchanted Kingdom (EK)! We had a blast! We got there around 2pm, (boy, it was hot!) and we left EK around 10pm. Haha! I know, i know, sinulit talga. :)

Welcome to Enchanted Kingdom!
It was hot!

Well, it was a tiring but fun day! Although until now, I'm still wondering why I just couldn't make myself ride the "Space Shuttle". I remember when I was 18 (i know that was years ago!), my friend (norin) and I had that ride twice! And there were only the 2 of us in the whole ride! We tried the front and back. But now, seeing it just makes me wanna run...mwehehehe! Haaaay, those were the days (when you were not scared of anything!). (*sigh*)

Happy Birthday A!

Oh, "we" had a blast this weekend! Last Friday was my (Baby) Alex' first birthday. I took the half day off from work and celebrated her bday. My Mom invited a few kids around the area, and they had so much fun! The theme was Dora, the explorer. After the kids' party, we went to Serendra to have dinner.

Another party was set yesterday, Sunday, and it was a Hawaiian (Lilo & Stitch) Theme Party. Oh, it was a great party! (well, at least for us, parents, mwehehehe!)

The suppliers for Alex' birthday did a great job! They really made my baby's birthday a memorable one! And they are all highly recommended!

Venue - Valle Verde 6 Clubhouse - Great place for parties. Sakto sa theme. :)

Caterer - Party Time Catering Services - they all love the food. Suki of the family. We had chicken teriyaki, roast beef and mashed potato, lasagna, lumpiang ubod, potato salad. Yum! They also did a great job in setting up the place. I love the colors of the table cloths. They also had nice stuffed toys in the buffet table instead of the typical buffet setup. And the waiters also wore hawaiian shirts, which is really nice. :)

Party Organizer, Hosts, Amazing Buble Show, and Backdrop - Clowning Around (http://www.clowningaround.com.ph/default.asp) - Wow, I so love the hosts (Mr. Experiment 4000 and Missy). They wore hawaiian attires. They were great, the kids love them and had so much fun. The party manager was also easy to talk to and was very accomodating. She managed the program of the party pretty well. I love the backdrop too!
The Bubble Show was indeed amazing. They had stories about the bubbles, bubble bday cake, etc. It was complete! Although wasn't able to watch the whole thing, but the guests especially the kids loved it!

Photographer - Ken Go (http://www.photosbykengo.com) - suki na din of the family. He was the photographer of my Father-in-law's bday party. Galing talga. Will post the pictures soon.

Food carts, Game Booths, and Cake - Jelly Bellies (http://www.jellybellies.50g.com/) - What I like about them is super daling kausap. They would reply asap, they would tend to your questions as soon as they can. The food carts were ok, game booths a little small from what I've imagined, same with the cake, small from what I saw in the pictures, but ok lang. No biggie.

Dirty Ice Cream - Bukas Palad - they all loved it! Kahit di ko natikman. Super nice manong sorbetero pa and cheap lang. Ok sila. :)

Choco Fountain - Pepel Spandonis - The guests loved the choco fountain. It was very affordable and ang dami, dami na! Although the fountain was a little small, pero ok lang, the kids loved it!

Glitter Tattoo - Glimmer Tattoo - siempre my friend, Rica is part of glimmer tattoo. Galing. The kids loved it!

Prizes and Pails (as giveaways) - Divi - Siempre the ever reliable divisoria! Cheap, cheap, and cheap toys. Special thanks to ercs, my good friend for going with me to divisoria and for putting up with the SUPER heavy bags that we had to carry from divi mall to the parking area. Thank you, thank you, Tita Ercs!! Mwah!

give-away

Leis and Grasskirt - Quiapo! - the best, super cheap. Special thanks to my Mom who went there and had patience in looking for cheap leis and grasskirts. Thanks Ma! Mwah!

Well, until now, I still couldn't believe that the party is over. Hehehe! We loved it so much and we really had so much fun! Hmmmm, looking forward to Alex' 7th bday and Debut!!! (*wink*)

Alex at 11 months and a Saturday Night at Club Mwah!

Ayayay! A few more weeks to my Baby's big birthday party! A few more weeks and she is not a Baby anymore. :( I still can't believe it! Kids grow so fast! Now, I know what people meant by that.

Anyway, hmmm...As days go by I would really see Alex growing up so fast.

  • She would try to walk (on her own!) by 10 steps. She doesn't want to be carried anymore! Waaaah! She wants the thought of being "independent". Well, kanino pa kaya nag-mana? Hehehe!
  • You can't leave her in the room alone na. She always want to be part of the "kwentuhan", part of the "tawanan". Well, as if she can understand huh!? Just like last night, Hubby and I were having midnight snacks at 11 pm, and she was really making noise just for us to notice her. And when I carried her to the dining room, wow, she ate too!! hahaha!
  • She always want to go out!! When her Lola would visit her she will suddenly point to the door, a sign to tell her "let's go out!".
  • She now appreciates little rides (like the car ride) in the mall and kids' playground
  • Well, at least she lessen down her sayote (not everyday anymore, every other day na lang haha!) and now eats arroz caldo.
  • Finally, (how can I forget?) she is now wearing earrings! wooohoooo!
Some pictures of Baby Alex:

hahaha!

On a different note, last weekend, Hubby's Uncle from Texas celebrated her 69th birthday at Club Mwah! At first, the place sounds kind of odd but when we saw it, it was really really nice. They also had shows (Las Vegas Style) that is really impressive! Customes look great and performers were really good and funny too! Sayang nga lang, our camera was in low battery (as usual!) so, I had to take the last few pictures thru my phone.
