My Friend's Birthday Dinner at Crystal Jade

My good friend Farrah is leaving for Singapore so we celebrated her birthday early! We had dinner at Crystal Jade two weeks ago. I haven't tried this restaurant but I have heard so many things about how good the food here is! I've been wanting to try Xiao Long Bao in Singapore but we just didn't have the time.

I'm glad we had dinner here with my friends.

We had these yummy orders...

Crab and Corn Soup

Fried Noodles

The Famous Steamed Soupy Pork Dumplings or Xiao Long Bao

Roasted Pork Ribs

I would say it was gooood. Will definitely go back this time with my family.

Crystal Jade is located at Virra Mall, Greenhills Shopping Center, Missouri St.
San Juan City, Metro Manila. For reservations call, (02) 570-6910.

Dr Seuss The Lorax

I saw this trailer over the weekend and I like it very much. It looks like we are going to watch this with the girls!

The Lorax Trailer - From the creators of Despicable Me and the imagination of Dr. Seuss comes the 3D-CG feature Dr. Seuss' The Lorax, an adaptation of the classic tale of a forest creature who shares the enduring power of hope. The animated adventure follows the journey of a 12-year-old as he searches for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world.

Danny DeVito will lend his vocal talents to the iconic title character of the Lorax, while Ed Helms will voice the enigmatic Once-ler. Also bringing their talents to the film are global superstars Zac Efron as Ted, the idealistic youth who searches for the Lorax, and Taylor Swift as Audrey, the girl of Ted's dreams. Rob Riggle will play financial king O'Hare, and beloved actress Betty White will portray Ted's wise Grammy Norma. Dr. Seuss'

The Lorax is the third feature created by Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment (Despicable Me, Hop).

I can't wait!

Our Valentine Family Dinner at Korea Garden

Since we just came from an anniversary trip, we didn't plan on something for VDay. We don't usually celebrate it anyway. But since I still have a voucher from Korea Garden that is going to expire soon, we thought of using it for our valentine family dinner date!

We had a reservation at 730PM and surprisingly traffic wasn't too bad so we got there on time!

The signature Korean Dinner comes with rice, soup, Kalbi Chim, Bulgogi, Chap Chae, Nakchi Bokum (spicy octopus), Mandu (dumplings) and pineapple for dessert.

It was a great Korean dinner, even better than we had at Bulgogi Brothers in Greenbelt. The girls who already had dinner at home ate again. All along I thought they wanted to eat dessert, but I was wrong!

It was a quick and simple Valentine dinner for all of us. We went home as soon as we were done and looked forward to more Valentine's day in the next few years!

The Gift of Ordinary Day by Katrina Kenison

Gosh, this video made me cry! It must be the hormones, I don't know but it's simply touching. This is for all the Moms out there...

"Learn the art of letting go by practicing it in the present. Instead of regretting what's over and done with, savor every minute of the life you have right now."

"If motherhood teaches us anything, is that we can't change our children. We can only change ourselves."

"It has taken awhile, but I certainly do know it now - the most wonderful gift I had, the gift I finally learned to cherish above all else, was the gift of all those perfectly ordinary days."

10 Lessons Jeremy Lin Can Teach Us Before We Go To Work Monday Morning

I'm sure you've already heard about Jeremy Lin and his success in the NBA. I love his story and when I stumbled across this article about the lessons you'll learned from him, I realized that I just have to share it here!

1. Believe in yourself when no one else does.

2. Seize the opportunity when it comes up.

3. Your family will always be there for you, so be there for them.

4. Find the system that works for your style.

5. Don’t overlook talent that might exist around you today on your team.

6. People will love you for being an original, not trying to be someone else.

7. Stay humble.

8. When you make others around you look good, they will love you forever.

9. Never forget about the importance of luck or fate in life.

A Gift from my Aunt

It wasn't exactly heirloom because she just recently purchased this jewelry a couple of months ago.

And I'm loving it so much! I haven't checked if this is my birth stone though but I will if I find time.

I'm interested in looking at birthstones these past few days. I found out that there is a thing called a family birthstone jewelry. I don't know how it works. Since most of my family were not born on the same month. I remember my Mom said that birth stones depend of course on your birth date. So I will have to look into it more at RedEnvelope.com since they have a couple of birthstone jewelries that I like. These birthstones can be in a ring, necklace or bracelet. And I love it all!

Alvin & the Chipmunks

Our movie date with the kids was somehow memorable because it was our mini celebration for Baby A getting well and also a treat for Ate A who was well behaved while we were at the hospital.

Alvin & the Chipmunks was Baby A's 3rd movie, while it was Ate A's 4th movie. Both of them liked it. And mind you, Baby A didn't fall asleep!

I'm glad we went out one weekend to watch this movie. I heard there's a new Tangled movie coming soon. Oh, we will definitely watch that movie! I can't wait!

Our 2011 Christmas PB

...is almost done!

I've been working on it for a week now and finally I only have 3 or 4 pages to go. Thanks to Artscow templates, making a PB is now a breeze!

Our Roadtrip to Pangasinan to Celebrate our 7th! (3/3)

The highlight of our 2nd day in Puerto Del Sol is our romantic dinner by the beach. It was our anniversary and since a romantic dinner setup was part of the voucher, we availed of this in our anniversary night. Thanks to the Puerto del Sol staff, it made our anniversary dinner very memorable!

We didn't have good photos since it was too dark!

It was too windy too so the dinner setup was placed beside the restaurant which was beside the beach. We had grilled seafoods, chicken teriyaki and kilawin. Our choices weren't too romantic but we loved the food and ordered white wine to complete the meal.

We had a good sleep after that and woke up a little late the next day (our last day). As usual, after having breakfast, we made the most out of the beach and the pool before we prepared to start our long road trip again.

It was so nice to get away even for just a few days. We were able to unwind and relax and we looked forward to going home to the little girls.

Our Roadtrip to Pangasinan to Celebrate our 7th! (2/3)

When we saw Puerto Del Sol's pool and the beach, we started missing the kids. We wished that we brought them with us!

But the thing is, it was our anniversary trip and we realized that we only get to this at least once a year so we made the most out of our trip. After a long nap after our lunch, we went to Cape Bolinao Lighthouse.

All I can say is that I'm frustrated because they didn't maintain the lighthouse anymore. The lighthouse has full of rust all over. :( Oh well!

After a stop at the lighthouse we went to Patar Beach to check the rock formations. I guess we got lost because we didn't see any rock formations at all! We just decided to have an early dinner at the nearest resort - 8 Treasures. Dinner was good. We called it a night after watching one movie because we knew that we needed to wake up early the next day to savor the beach!

True enough, we just spent the whole morning at the sea shore. I ♥ it!

We ate lunch, tried the pool and the jacuzzi, then off we went to take a nap!

Oh yes, it was definitely all about SLEEP for this quick getaway. We haven't been sleeping straight since Andie got hospitalized so this was the perfect time to sleep!

After our nap, we prepared for our romantic dinner setup prepared by the staff to celebrate our 7th anniversary! Will post about that tomorrow! (*wink*)

Happy Valentine's, Everyone!

Spread our LOVE today and everyday!

Happy Valentine's!

(*wink*)

Our Roadtrip to Pangasinan to Celebrate our 7th! (1/3)

...anniversay that is!

The trip to Pangasinan would take us around 6 to 7 hours so we started early and left our house by 5AM.

You see, I'm not a fan of long trips but I found our trip memorable since it was our first time to go to Pangasinan. We saw a lot of nice churches on the way.

In the middle of our road trip, we dropped by Pancake House for a quick breakfast.

I had pancakes with sausage while Hubby had his favorite beef tapa.

It was a quick breakfast but it made us full and ready to travel again for another 4 hours.

Finally, we arrived Puerto Del Sol by 11AM. And our room was ready for us! Yey!

Will post more on the beach and Puerto Del Sol's pool tomorrow. Watch out for it!

Celebrated my Sister's Birthday at Bistro Filipino

It was my sister's birthday last January 18 and she treated us for dinner at Chef Laudico's Bistro Filipino.

We had a reservation for 7:30PM and we got there on time inspite of the traffic! I love that the restaurant was in a good location so we didn't have a hard time finding it.

There are a few choices at the menu but it all look really good so it was hard to choose which one to order.

We finally settled for...Salad, Spring Rolls, Bulalo Steak, Grilled Prawns and Desserts.

The Best Katsu at Yabu

I've never tasted anything like it. The katsu we had at Yabu is probably the best so far!

Hubby and I tried Yabu last year during their soft opening. I've read a lot of good reviews about them and I definitely agree, experience, food and even service were great.
