Reminiscing on our Big Day

January 30, 2005 - This is the day that I finally said yes! The day that I finally said yes to the man I love. :D

I can't believe that it's been 3 years already! Our wedding was around 8AM (I know it was early! But I really wanted a nice morning sun for our pictures). And also, I wanted to get it over with. I didn't want to wait for the whole day for the wedding. LOL! We got married at St. Pancratius Chapel in Paco Park where my parents got married. It was a nice and small chapel and mind you it was packed with some friends and family all over the country and outside. It was an event that we will never forget.

Hubby proposed February 14, 2004 and then 11 months after that, we got married. It was a very long preparation for a wedding but we had so much fun and we got to know each other very well (I'm talking about petty and huge fights here!).

And now that it's been 3 years (with Alex in our lives), I can't help but feel excited on what God and life has to offer us. I know there are more moments to look forward to, more memories to make, more kids to come (i hope!), and more challenges that would make our relationship stronger. I can't wait for that.

To Hubby, thank you for always being there. For 3 years of being together, it makes me feel how much we've grown to love and appreciate each other more. It made me realized how much we are meant to be. Happy Anniversary Hon! (*grin*)

For that I would like to share some of my favorite photos during our wedding day, taken by our photographer John Ong of ImagineNation! I love all our photos! He was able to take 3,000 shots (I think!) and we had a hard time choosing which ones that would go to our wedding album.

Cheers!!!

Happy Birthday Isa!

We were invited last Saturday to celebrate Isabella's first birthday at McDonald's The Fort. Since everyone was feeling better already (Hubby is well and Alex still coughs but lesser now), we decided to go there! Here are some of the photos that Hubby took before the party...

Big girl!
Look at that Messy Room!

Big girl!

Big girl!

Big girl!

When I saw Alex wearing those clothes I realized that oh my, she's really a big girl now. How time flies so fast! It makes me feel old already. And most of all it makes me feel how much we need to work on Baby # 2. LOL! Oh well, I know God will give it in His perfect time.

Going back to the party, it started at exactly 3PM. We were a bit late though, we got there around 3:30PM because we got lost! But anyway, as usual Alex had so much fun with the balloons and with the kids. We had so much fun with the food. I remember I already had my New Year's resolution not to eat too much "junk" this year but what the heck, it was a party!

After the party we went to buy some groceries for our "big" night which I will be posting soon. (*wink*)

To Post or Not To Post

I guess this is one of those days that I feel like weekend was not enough to rest and I wanted to take the day off from work because I felt like I needed to rest some more. Good thing I didn't have work today! So I was having second thoughts if I post or not to post here today. But, I guess since I already slept for two hours after lunch (which gave me a headache for sleeping too long) I needed to check some stuff over the internet. So here I am babbling and writing nonsense. I need to post about real estate agent and I knew someone, I think my Mom's friend who is really into this business. But my mind is not yet in shape (if there is such a term) that I can't think of something to post about it. This is a sign that I need to go back to bed. Will be back tomorrow, I promise!

Cough. Cough! Cough....

That's what you will hear in our house for the last couple of days (or weeks!?). Man oh man, first it was Hubby who got the "virus". He's been coughing for a week! So what he did, he went to the doctor and he was prescribed to drink an Anti-biotic. But guess what happened!? His tummy didn't like the anti-biotic that he took, that it triggered his gastritis! Arrrgh, I hate that medicine. So what happened was that Hubby couldn't take the pain anymore so I rushed him to ER for a pain reliever. He needed a strong one! So when we got to the hospital the pain reliever didn't relieve him at all. So he was given again a stronger one, but his vomiting didn't stop. Man. So the resident suggested he be admitted for observation.

So there, Hubby and I spent our Wednesday night at the hospital. It was uncomfortable but Hubby got well after the second pain reliever that he was given. We spent the whole Thursday there because the Doctor didn't even bother to visit him (this will be a different story). So we were discharged at around 8pm already last night.

Anyway while Hubby was having those coughs, Alex got it too. :( So now she is taking medicines as well.

And now after a night at the hospital it's now me who is having coughs and colds. Aarrrrgh....

So there...Hubby and I were even talking that we should change our names and call each other "Cough", "Colds", and "Stomachache". LOL!

Happy weekend everyone!! (*wink*)

Money & Investment

My friend's Hubby doesn't believe in investing in paper money. What he does is that he invests in coins, bullion, anything that doesn't have currency value. There is actually a company called Monex Deposit Company (MDC) where you can purchase silver, gold and any other precious metals that would be a great investment. They can offer a personal delivery or arrange a convenient and safe storage at an independent bank. They've been in the business for over 30 years and they have been the America's gold, silver and precious metals investment leader. And guess what, they believe that there may never be a better time for buying silver bullion than right now.

Sharing some Photos

After we purchased the SLR, Hubby can't seem to put it down, especially with Alex. Here are some photos that he recently took.

I just hope that when Alex grows up she would still love to pose for the camera. :)

After Pregnancy Weight

Women and weight usually comes hand in hand right? I don't know why, but women (like me) are just vain when it comes to their weight. After giving birth it was hard for me to get my weight back - my pre-pregnancy weight. I even had to shop for new clothes because everything just won't fit! I can remember how frustrated I was. No more sexy corsets, no more fitted jeans. And the funny thing was that even my shoe size increased as well! These are one of the things that you don't actually look forward after giving birth. But, seeing that little one and clinging to me like there's no tomorrow is just more than worth it.

Moving Out

My Mom's friend who is from the US was here the last couple of weeks to paid her a visit. They had a grand time talking about the good old days. One of the things that I can't keep of my mind is her telling my Mom that is she will be one of the movers New York sometime this year. I was surprised. Not because it was impossible but because I can just imagine how stressful it is to move in the US. But good thing there are already companies out there which are more than willing to help.

Busy Monday

(*Deep Breath*)

I just wanted to take a deep breath before starting this post. You see, I had a very busy day today. Hubby was sick for a week (including last weekend) so we just stayed home and I tried very hard to stay away from the computer. We were just at home and since we didn't do much we got bored last Saturday night. So Hubby fix some stuff in my home/office wires that (I think) it made him sick all the more.

But anyway, he's feeling much better now (thank God) but when I woke up at around 4 AM this morning, I felt that Alex was having a slight fever. :( She was coughing yesterday when we were at the mall so I thought oh no, she really mustn't feeling very well. I took her temperature and true enough she had (slight) fever. We gave her paracetamol and good thing after a couple of hours, the fever was gone. But she still coughs every once in a while so I will still be giving her medicine for that.

Today is her scheduled checkup to another Pedia so I went off line an hour earlier at work to bring her to the hospital. We waited for around an hour before our turn but at least we felt at peace now that we were able to bring her there.

After the checkup when we got home we just had snacks and then I went back to work. I had a couple of things to do in the system but I've finished everything now. Hubby is already sleeping and Alex is playing in her room.

So that's how our weekend and my Monday went. Not to mention some cramps and headaches in between. Aaaaargggh! I was just wondering, why is our weather getting worst? Raining on a January!? I can't believe it! Is it just me or the weather is really odd these days!?

Hope everyone is having a great Monday! Thanks for dropping by! (*wink*)

Coupons

During the last Christmas season I've read about a lot of coupons. Some would give it away as a gift, some would purchase it for their kids' shopping and etc. And now I've read that there were a lot of Overstock coupons from the holidays and they are currently offering wonderful - which means BIG discounts over their website. I know it sounds too promising but I just visited their website now and they are offering as much as $15 off on their selected items.

Women and Jewelries

I don't think I'm one of those women who loves or should I say adores jewelries. Some women would give up all their savings when it comes to jewelry. Some would go for white gold. Some would love to have diamonds. Others would go for gold chain. There are a lot of choices actually but neither of it makes me want to give up my savings. But when it comes to purses or bags and shoes and wallets, well, that would be a different story. :D

All About Golf

Golf is one sport that I don't think I'd get myself into. I don't have anything against it but I think it's because it's an expensive sport, I assume. And besides all the golf courses are too far from where I live. But it continues to amazed me. With all those golf balls thrown into a pond or somewhere else. This sport would always make me wonder how it is played and what are the rules of the games. I don't even know if I used the right terms here. It just goes to show that I don't know anything about golf.

Our Weekend

I thought that since we had a very hectic holidays we get to rest for all the weekends of January. But I was wrong. Last Friday, Hubby and I were talking about how disappointed we are in our Olympus Digital Camera (which we weren't done paying full yet - SIP is ongoing) since it's been at the service center three times already! It was with us only for almost a year. Then Hubby suddenly suggested and said, Why don't we get an SLR? I thought he was joking. But since our anniversary is coming in the next couple of weeks, I thought of considering it (yes nag-pakipot pa ako! LOL!). You see, I've been wanting it for months!

So, I read Ate Jen's post about her purchasing her Rebel in Quiapo and tried calling Henry's last Saturday. After the call, Hubby and I then went to Quiapo. It was raining then but Hubby said, "Rain or Shine, we will get our camera!" LOL! Our trip was breeze (through MRT and LRT 1). We looked for Henry's and then asked for the Rebel. And guess what my friends? They only had 1 left! So Hubby was rushing to get it! Haha. Me on the other hand was trying to delay the time just in case something happens with the camera, etc. You know, I already had phobias with cameras (after purchasing the Olympus). So, yes, we finally purchased it, and you know what? after we purchased it someone was trying to inquire about it and looked like they wanted to buy it too! So, we got there at the RIGHT time. I guess this camera was indeed ours. Wuhoo!

The Rebel - Canon EOS 400D

So now both Hubby and I have our official anniversary gifts to each other. Yes, hati kme. LOL!

The next day we attended a children's party. It was Alexs' and Red's 1st and 3rd birthday in Caloocan. It was around 3PM so after the party we went to hear mass. The party was fun, although we didn't stay long because it started to rain and that it was held outside. Hubby wasn't feeling very well too.

I started back to work last Monday (January 14, 2008). It means that I had 1 month vacation from work. That explains why I haven't been blogging. I missed working (even from home) and I'm glad to be back working again.

Anyway, there a lot to look forward to again next weekend and I can't wait to share it here. Have a great week everyone!

New Year in Macau/Hongkong (Day 5 of 5)

Finally our last day has come. I was pretty sad because our much awaited vacation is over. But I still have one whole day to explore Macau and it's shops. Because our flight is still around 10 PM.

Hubby decided to just stay again at home with Alex. I will be doing last minute shopping for this day and the weather was getting colder than our first day so Alex was better at home.

Good thing my Mom has a lot of energy left to shop so she went with me and my sister to Red Market and San Ma Lo.

Red Market was the divisoria of Macau. But it was cleaner, less people, and nicer. :) I think of all the shops that we've been to in Macau, my fave is Red Market. So many cheap clothes, socks, baby clothes, winter clothes, fruits, veggies, etc. I just love it here! The weather was too cold then so we decided to buy gloves. It was funny because (I think) we were the only ones who were wearing gloves there.

I was able to buy a lot of socks for myself, Alex and Hubby. I was able to buy some for my nephews and niece too. I just hope they like it. We had lunch in the area and the noodles were yummy. I most especially like the orange juice that was freshly squeezed in a very cheap price. Oh i love this place! (how many times did I say that? LOL!)

Our next stop San Ma Lo. The reason why we went back to San Ma Lo is because of the Chicken Little Toy that we saw the other day. It was a nice toy for Alex that I said will have to think about it overnight if I really wanted to buy it for her. It was big and the nice thing about it is that it dances with Chicken Little's voice. You see, Alex looooved that chicken. LOL! When Hubby saw it the other day he just loved it too. He was even disappointed when he found out that I didn't buy it.

Anyway, we went back to the store and found out that they didn't have stocks anymore. Arrrrgh. But after some hand signals and hearing some Chinese words that we never understood, my Mom finally got that we just needed to go back around 3pm to get the new stock. Hurrray! (for Alex and Daddy. LOL!) It was still 2:30pm so we went around the area first and took some photos.

We also had snacks at McDonald's. It was the only place where we can sit so we opted for that even if it was a bit expensive (compared to McDo here!). We were so tired already but we still kept on walking because I was still looking for some stuff that I needed to buy. Mind you, I was able to buy some inner blouses, leggings, perfume, and some food for pasalubong during my last minute shopping. I had fun! Haggling is not too effective in this place though. But it definitely made my shopping easier. :)

We were able to go back home around 530pm. We still needed to buy some chocolates so I just asked Hubby to go with my parents so I could do the packing. He was able to buy cheaper chocolates (take note: Ferrero, Malteasers, M&M's) in the grocery. Yes, if you want cheaper chocolates you need to buy it in the groceries. My parents bought food for dinner there too.

We had dinner at around 6pm, packed some stuff and then we headed to the Macau International Airport around 8pm. We didn't have a hard time getting a cab. Everything was a breeze after that.

I bought a big jacket for her so she can still use it next year...(who knows we will be in the US next Dec. Hehe!)

Happy!

Flight was delayed. We boarded the plane I think around 1030pm already and left Macau at around 1045pm. Alex was awake the whole time. :( She was even mentioning (in a loud voice)...KAGO - which means Mango for her! It doesn't sound that good though right? So I kept on saying to her - MMMMMAAAANGO! Just to let the people know that she's not saying a "bad" word. LOL!

We got here in Manila around 12:45 AM. After immigration, customs, and baggage claim, we were finally able to get a cab around 1:30 AM already.

Sigh. The much awaited vacation is over. My parents, sister and brother were left there and will be coming home two days after us. And I was right, they did more shopping right after we left. Haha!

I loooove Macau. It's small but homey. I didn't like the weather that much though but it was quite a change from our rainy-sunny-humid weather.

On Cables and Wires

Just before the Christmas break, Hubby tried to fix my office at home. He cleaned up all the cables and installed something (which I forgot what it's called) to organize the wires and make it cleaner. But in computers it would be a different story. From the type cables like fiber cable to how these are setup are most important in organizing a computer. I'm not sure though if cables or wires should be intertwined but all I know is that ever since, we never had an organized-wired computer. Is it just me or computers are really like that?

New Year in Macau/Hongkong (Day 4 of 5)

Another unforgettable day is this day - the day that we went to the biggest hotel in the world - Venetian Hotel. We were looking forward to this day for months! The purpose of this trip actually is to watch my brother who works in Venetian Hotel. He is a Gondolier there and since September when he started working, we can't wait to see him in action!

The hotel was HUGE! We weren't able to roam around it in one day. Sayang. Because we were running out of time and we need to do more shopping. LOL! We got there around 10am (and we woke up late as well) and then immediately went to Marco Polo Canal where my brother was currently assigned. Unfortunately there were a lot of people who were lined up to ride the gondola so we weren't immediately accommodated. So my brother decided to accommodate us during his lunch break. Wuhoo!

So we had lunch first at the food court. It was crowded. We had a hard time finding seats. But the food was yummy. We ordered for bbq beef, pork, and shrimps. I had fish and chips which I've been craving for days (I guess I've already ate too much noodles!). During that time the fries was sooo yummy! LOL!

At around 2pm we headed back to Marco Polo Canal. At last we went to another canal to borrow a Gondola then finally my brother was able to accommodate all five of us (Hubby, me, Alex, my sister, and Mom). By the way, only four adults are allowed for one gondola. Here are our photos during the Gondola ride.

Alex looove the ride. I would highly recommend it for kids the same age and older as Alex. She was so kilig when she saw her Tito Dandy singing for her. She was amazed! Look at her photos.

After San Ma Lo (which I will be posting tomorrow), we went back to Venetian Hotel for dinner. We were excited because Dandy will be treating us and he promised that it will be a nice resto. Great food, wonderful ambiance, and a nice experience.

At first we were disappointed because we found out that we needed to have a reservation for that day. It was the 31st of December and I guess everybody was having dinner there! But good thing my brother was able to push it through after talking to some friends in the resto. Hehehe! And look, we got the private place pa! We were so excited.

I can't believe I forgot the name of the Resto!

Alex was sleeping all throughout dinner, which was good because Hubby and I were able to enjoy the food, which was SUPER YUMMY! It was expensive but it was all worth it, right Dandok? LOL! Some photos after dinner (we took advantage of the nice lighting of the place LOL!)
