It's All About Art

As early as now, we are introducing art to the little girls for them to appreciate it. It has always been my frustration ever since. I wanted to be an artist. I wanted to be creative and have those ideas that are out of this world. Ideas that no one has ever thought of. But it didn't happen to me since I ended up studying a technical course and I ended up working in a technical field. But I'm hoping my kids will learn to love art.

Just like Langdon Graves who is an artist whose website I came across this morning. She sounds really awesome. She grew up in the trees and on the beaches of Virginia where she learned from her grandfather how to draw and be discerning about piecrust. I believe that every artist has his/her own mentor and in her case, her mentor is her Grandfather. She received her undergraduate degree in painting from VCU and her MFA from Parsons in 2007. I've read that she now lives and works in Brooklyn. And now you can purchase her work of art at her website - www.artstar.com.

A very nice and inspiring story, I would say. I really hope that my kids' path will also cross with art because it is something to be proud of. Doing art is a gift that not everyone will get.
