We had so much fun on this ride - the Log Jam. I was so scared. But the husband and my sister don't look like they are, right? LOL!

Our quick island hopping in Langkawi was just a couple of hours but it was also unforgettable. With a speed boat that brought us to every island and yes, with ultimate speed in going to and from the places, it was indeed memorable!

Here's what we did...

First Stop: Pregnant Maiden Island. A very beautiful fresh water lake.


But before seeing the beautiful lake, we had to climb up and down the stairs first. It was a good exercise for us especially the kids.


And on our way up, there were monkeys all over the place.

Swim at the natural fresh water lake of the pregnant maiden. Allow hundreds of ikan keli ( Catfish ) to massage your legs. An unforgettable experience! According to the legend of the pregnant maiden, women who were unable to conceive, became fertile after drinking water from the lake. Many tourists were known to have collected & brought bottles of the fresh water back home.

Second Stop: Eagle Watching. With this we were able to watch wild white belly eagle & Brahmin kite's feeding frenzy.


It was a beautiful experience especially for the kids. Definitely unforgettable!




Third and Last Stop: Beras Basah Island. The best beach in Langkawi. We loved the white sand and crystal clear water of this island.



After our adventure, we all went back to the hotel and then the kids decided to swim in the pool. OH yes, they can't just get enough of the water! (*grin*)

ANother unforgettable experience we had in Langkawi was our cable car ride in Oriental Village. The kids were pretty excited.

But you would notice that I was a little bit scared. Who wouldn't? Just look at how high it was!

The Cable Car is the Oriental Village’s most popular attraction. It takes passengers up Mount Mat Chinchang (Langkawi’s second tallest mountain) which stands at 709m above sea level. Many wonder what the big deal is and the views from here answer that question almost without words. Simply spectacular, the journey to the top will let you see the forested slopes of Mount Mat Chinchang (also known as Gunung Mat Chinchang) and even the Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls. SOURCE.

But it was all worth it. Just look at the breathtaking view on top of top of Mount Mat Chinchang! Beautiful!

While I was researching online for our trip to Langkawi, one of the popular places that came up is the Oriental Village.

We were all so curious why it made it to one of the popular tourist spots in the city so we made sure that we check it out while in Langkawi.

This is what greeted us. A very beautiful view of the Oriental houses. We knew that we did the right decision of alloting at least half a day here.


The red bridge itself was an attraction.


But with the combination of nice houses (converted to shops) and little pockets of Asia (Korea, Japan, and more), I would say it was worth our time.




I just wished we had more time to do photo shoots at this place. But we had to go to Kuah Town immediately. Oh well, at least we had half a day to explore. I highly recommend that you visit this place in Langkawi.

Curious on where we stayed for one week in Langkawi? We were at Aseania Resort and we all loved this place. ♥

First of all, our family room was huge!


But the highlight of our stay was the enormous pool that the kids and kids-at-heart love so much. ♥


The moment we arrived at the hotel, we were given cool, welcome drinks.


We didn't wait too long until we were brought to our room. Time to rest after a long flight!
