Alex's Favorite Shows at Disney Playhouse

Well, shifting to Destiny Cable has been the best decision ever. You see, the only reason why we shifted from Sky Cable to Destiny Cable was because of Disney Playhouse. My friends have been recommending it for kids. And true enough, Alex loves almost all the shows in that channel. Sulit talga! Not to mention it's cheaper too!

Playhouse Disney is available commercial free, 24 hours, 7 days a week!

Here are some of the shows that Alex loves!

1. Mickey Mouse and Friends

2. My friends Tigger and Pooh

3. Pocoyo

4. Barney and friends (of course!)

5. Little Einstein

6. Jojo Circus

7. Handy Manny

So we're taking a break from Dora, Diego, Backyardigans and Wonder Pets for now. But will definitely watch again as soon as Alex gets tired of her current favorite shows.

I Love Magazines!

From Kerygma to Good Housekeeping to Working Mom to almost all the magazines. I would read it. I love the thought of learning new stuff in a not so serious or boring form. I love to look at the pictures in it. Now there's one magazine called Denver Magazine which is a monthly feature focusing on a story important to the city of Denver. It mainly discusses local business, political and cultural buzz. They also focused on the profiles of metropolitan movers and shakers taking the capital of Colorado to the next level. They believe that Denver Magazine will keep life in the city covered, and readers in the know. This is helpful especially to the people who wants to move to Denver. I'm sure they will learn a lot from this magazine and gain insights about the city.

On my 6th Month

I'm grabbing Peachy's formatting on how she gives an update on her pregnancy.

The Little Princess - She is getting active everyday! She kicks even at the wee hours of the morning. When I try to put music on my tummy she kicks it like she doesn't want it. LOL! Based on my checkup last Thursday, my OB said that her weight is just right on the 24th week. Not too big, not too small either. And guess what my OB told me? Her heartbeat is like a baby boy's! Hmmmm...

My Food and Weight - I gained around 4-5 lbs from last month. Just right. My OB was happy to know that too. She said that I can gain around 1-2 lbs/week. I know I've been eating a LOT last month and we've been from one party to another. So this month and the next couple of months I will watch my diet and blood sugar. I will be eating only half rice each meal but will load myself with veggies and fruits. I will try to avoid JUNK foods too! So goodluck to me. :D Oh, I had decaf and light cafe mocha from Figaro last night and boy, I felt like my cravings were now over (I hope!). I miss coffee so much but will try to avoid it (even decaf) for the next three months.

How do I look now!? - I look awful. Pimples (and I mean, really BIG pimples) are like everywhere on my face. I've never experienced this when I was pregnant with Alex. I didn't need an acne scar treatment right after I gave birth. My hair has been oily too, that's why you would always catch me with a damp hair! Aarrrgh.
My weight may be lighter than when I was 24th week before but boy, I feel bigger now and my legs are HUUUGE. And I could feel the baby's weight already unlike before that I only felt the baby's weight on my 9th month.

How is Ate Alex coping up? - Well, sometimes she acknowledges a baby inside my tummy and sometimes she would laugh at it and would say, "Haha, big tummy, Mama!". We are teaching her to share her toys and stuff starting now so she wouldn't have a hard time when the baby comes. When I try to carry her she would say, "Heavy, heavy, I'm heavy, Mama!". How sweet right? Although she looks for her Dada and Yaya now more than me. :( I guess will just have to spend more and more time with her just before the baby comes.

On this pregnancy I can feel that time flies so fast. I couldn't believe that I'm on my 6th month already (except for my bulging tummy and humongous legs of course!). I guess 3 months is just around the corner. I better prepare the baby stuff and her room so I won't cram when the big day comes! :)

Our Relaxing Weekend

We brought Alex to her pedia last Saturday for another vaccination and then afterwards we bought our groceries then went home to take a nap. At around 7pm we then had dinner with parents and sister at Secret Recipe (to know more about our dinner, check out my post here).

After a not-so-busy Saturday, we spent our Sunday the whole day at home. It was raining so we didn't bother to got out and even go to the mall. Hubby and I were too tired (after having all our July weekends booked for malling, parties, etc). I had the time of my hands to pamper myself by reading, sleeping, and even had time to checkout my problem with acne. I just gave up on it actually and assured myself that this will be over soon (hopefully!). I also had the opportunity to checkout some cellphones over the internet. I'm eyeing a lot now but will have to double check on my budget first. Unfortunately Hubby is not going to sponsor this time, even if my birthday is coming. LOL!

I understand, Sweetie... :P

Anyway, we just ordered pizza yesterday since we can't go out ourselves. I had the time of my life eating the cheese crust (with cheesy dip). Yum! But I promised myself that starting yesterday, I will be on a diet and will monitor my blood sugar. I don't want to get big so much (which is already happening now) so that I can still delivery normally.

Well, Alex was also in the mood yesterday so we took her picture with her cutie umbrella from Lola. This one she loves so much she even wants to sleep with it. LOL!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! (*wink*)

Thank you!

From Juliana, Eds, and Faye for this wonderful award! I appreciate it so much ladies!

I need a Fax Machine.

The good thing about working from home is that I get to spend a lot of time with my little girl and more bonding time with Hubby. But the downside is that I will have to buy my own stuff like computer, telephone, DSL or internet connection and a lot more.

Now, I'm contemplating on buying a fax server. I have never bought such that's why I need to do a lot of research on what to buy and what features would I be needing. Would I need a simple fax machine or something like a VoIP Fax? Should I also consider having a feature of Fax broadcasting.

There are so many options to choose from and I get confused that's why I need more time to explore and maybe better to ask the people I know from Purchasing Department and see what they can recommend. At least they have a first hand experience on this one.
