In my side of the world, there's a long break coming and people are starting to plan road trips, getaways, family adventures, flights and more. To those who planned early, I bet some were already able to book their flights through promos and the travel fair. Planning a trip can take a lot of time and effort, so it is best to plan your trip 6 months before. For people who are budget conscious (like me!), I usually plan a year before to save up and get cheap airfares. Now it's almost summer in the Philippines so I hope everyone booked and planned their getaways already.

Spring has also started in the other parts of the world. Just like the United States. This time of the year, I was in the United States in 2001. WOW. I didn't realized until now that it was 15 years ago! Time flies by so fast! I was sent by a company that was working for in Minnesota and I stayed there for a couple of months. I took the opportunity to travel all throughout the States. I went to California, Washington, Florida, New York and New Jersey. I was able to get good deals through red eye flights for these weekend trips. I didn't have to spend that much!

But the most memorable were the road trips that I took within the neighboring States. In a couple of hours I was able to go to Wisconsin to try their famous cheese. In 6 hours, I was able to feel the windy city of Chicago. Though the travel was long, it was well worth it! I would say touring on a road is definitely unforgettable!

So, now I'm looking at bus tours and see which one I can recommend to my sister who is going to America soon. Because being on tour is the best way to get around especially if it's your first time.
