A funny thing happened when we were in Hongkong.

From the ferry terminal of Hongkong, we took 2 cabs on our way to Causeway Bay. My Dad, sister and brother were in the same cab. Hubby, Baby Alex, and I on the second cab. We didn't know where we were staying then because my sister had an agreement with the owner that they would just meet at Causeway Bay Gate E. When we got to Causeway Bay, guess what happened? we were dropped off in different locations! Yes, we were in Causeway Bay, but, who would have thought that there are at least 4 MTR gates in Causeway Bay!?! And, the worst thing is, we weren't able to apply for roaming so we can't text and call!! Waaaaah! But the ones on the first cab were all bringing a cellphone. Hmph!

Anyway, we were looking and looking and looking for each other for the past 2 hours! We were in the highway (with all the huge luggages), Alex getting scared of the buses, me getting paranoid and scared and hot-tempered, and Hubby getting tired. Haaaaay. After several prayers, my sister finally saw us (while asking for directions to the police!). Thank GOD.

So, with this, we decided not to go to Disneyland anymore since it's already past lunch time and we were all soooo tired. And I was thinking of going shopping for more. hehe! :)

After having lunch at McDonald's, we spent the whole afternoon shopping at Causeway Bay.

Then we took a nap. After that, we went to Victoria Peak to have dinner there. We thought we'd find a good (and cheap) resto there but we ended up eating at McDonald's again! :)








The weather was not that cold compared to Macau, but you would still need a jacket. When Mom, Dad and I went to Hongkong last 2000, I really, really loved it! But now, I just don't know why I wasn't that impressed anymore. Maybe because I just came from Macau where it's so clean and quiet and the not-too-busy roads. Or maybe because we got lost and got stressed out!? Hmmm...

We just spent our overnight in Hongkong then we went back to Macau to go back to Clark. On our way back, it was stress-free! We were in ferry terminal really early that we were able to eat breakfast at wherelse! McDonald's! Haha! We got to Macau also early that we were able to visit Macau Tower. We had a great time here and met a lot of Filipinos working there. :)

Alex was just sleeping the entire trip! She was sleeeping in the ferry, in the cab, in the plane, and in the bus. Very good and tired baby. hehehe!

So, to end this post about our Holiday get-away, I just thank God for allowing us to have fun and for always, always keeping us safe. (*smile*)

Before, the first thing that would come into my mind when I hear about Macau is that it's an old, old place where there is bartering of goods like food and clothing. hehe! But, I was wrong.

Initially, my family planned to go to Palawan for Christmas, but when we found out about the super cheap airfares of Tiger Airways we immediately jumped at the opportunity. And it was really worth it!

Of course there were drawbacks for a cheap airfare...like seats are first come, first served. No food and drinks served during the flight. But, for an hour and a half flight, this is not really a big deal. And besides, we were travelling with a Baby, so we were allowed to go in first.

Anyway, we all loved Macau. It's a very small city. You can even go all around it for a day. Casinos are all over, that's why they call it "The Las Vegas of Asia". Although not everybody knows how to speak in English but most of the people from the tourist spots and the mall can. Food is also really, really good (that is, if you love Chinese food. :) ).

Well, here are the places that we've visited in Macau:

Leal Senado - this place is the center of Macau. Lots of people, shops, and restos. I sooo loved this place. We spent almost out whole day here.

Ruins of St. Paul - a popular site of Macau. Try all the food sold here like the Macau Cookies, the peanuts dipped in sesame seeds, pork, etc...It's really good!



Fisherman's Wharf - a must-see! Not so many people, huge place with shops and restos. Great at night. This is near the Sands hotel.





Dancing fountain of Wynn Hotel - the show is every 15 minutes. I liked it. It's like the Las Vegas' dancing fountain.



Macau Tower - a must-see! 60-flr tower that is over-looking the entire Macau. It's good to visit in the morning. Ok also to visit at night and have dinner here, very romantic. :)



Barrier Gate - we crossed the China border thru the barrier gate and went to Zhuhai. My, my, this is heaven for the shopping addicts (like me and my family!) hehehe.



Oh I had to warn you, it could get really cold there during the winter season (December - February). Coming from a tropical country like us, we had to wear 2-3 light jackets. hehe! Except for Hubby who can tolerate only 1 long sleeves. How can he do that!?!?

We weren't able to visit a lot of places. We realized on our way back home that there were still lots of places to visit in Macau but maybe next time. Because it's really worth coming back. :)

Hey, hey, hey! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I'm sure people are still busy preparing for the New Year.

As for me, we had a blast! Still keeping up with errands, unpacking, and rest! But, all is well and happy. :)
(well, except for the severe headache and a rupture of blood vessel in my left eye. But, that's another story).

Anyhoo, I can't wait to post everything. Will do that probably after the holidays.

This is probably my last post for the week and before the holidays. My family and I are going to a place where it is colder than here in the Philippines. Yeap, a little bit far, but not that far. I will let you all know where, when we get back. ;)

So, I guess, this is my "Merry Christmas" post already.

People are so busy with everything - Shopping, buying gifts, Christmas parties, trying to beat deadlines before the year ends, weddings, reunions, well, I can go on and on...

But, I hope we don't forget the true meaning of Christmas. The day that our Saviour was born. The day that we will always be thankful for. The big day for the Celebrant!

Do we have a present for Him already? Or we're too busy with other things that we forgot what to offer Him?

Well, just a thought to ponder because sometimes I get too preoccupied with other things too that I don't get to focus on what's really important.

I recently joined this wonderful forum, PHP Digiscrappers, which inspired me to do more digital scrapping. You see, I started doing this (I didn't realize then that what I was doing was actually scrapbooking!), when I decided to work on Alex's Photo Album (from birth to 1 year old).

And yeah, I'm so happy to say that I'm done with 0-8 months of her pictures and waiting for the next pictures in the next coming months. :)

Anyhoo, the purpose of this post is to let you all know that I will be sharing some scraps that I've worked on from now on. But, I'm warning you, I'm not an expert! Just trying to be...hihihi...

Yes! It all happened yesterday, Monday. The review with my boss.

It was not that long. But, pretty scary...

To make the story short, I DID IT! Although of course there were negative reviews and a whole lot of things to improve on but, the bottomline is, I DID IT!

Praise GOD! You are indeed a GOD of everything! I don't know how to thank YOU enough.

And my Hubby who has been there thru thick or thin! You're the best!

My baby who has been my inspiration for all my hard work...

Oh diba, pang-awards night ang dating.

What a great and wonderful Christmas gift from GOD.

Haaay, today is supposed to be the "day". The day that would tell me how my life is gonna be(exag!).

Yes, my boss should suppose to tell me his feedback about my work performance in the past 4 months.

But, haven't heard from him.

So, I'm still waiting...waiting...

Dying to know what will happen! Whew!

Have you ever felt so lost? One day you have your plans laid out for your life. You thought that everything would go smoothly and nothing would ever go wrong. But suddenly, out of the blue, with just one situation, you would suddenly feel that all your plans are not gonna happen...ever!

I've posted here about how happy I am when I got my my new job. It is working from home. Yes, I work from home and I get to spend the whole day with my baby.

Isn't it the best setup for us? Well, yes! But, things are not working out for me, I guess. And I'm still waiting for the feedback.

Well, if this is not really gonna work, I realized that God has other plans for me. I guess I shouldn't have relied on my own plans in the first place.

But, I guess, as people would say, "Everything has a purpose".

I just joined a nice forum for Filipino Digital scrappers. And I found out last week that they are having a very interesting (last) contest of the year. I kind of like the idea and decided to join. :) Will keep you updated. (**excited**)

Have a nice week everyone! God is Good!

I found the didache reading today a very inspiring reading. The woman shared how she would always volunteer to write for Didache. Although not all her reflections were published, it didn't discourage her to continue to write. And she shared that to further improve her writing, she attended several workshops, read a lot of books and religiously wrote daily reflections in her scripture diary. And then as the Lord expanded her territories, she became a contributing writer for Kerygma and Fish and later became a Managing Editor.

It made me wonder...what if God is telling me to explore that aspect? I never imagined myself being creative. I used to tell people that I wasn't "gifted" in that aspect of my life. I would tell them that I'm a technical person and I could only work with numbers, programs, and systems. Then, I started out this blog. And I'm never the same person since!

What do I mean by this? After I designed the header of this blog, I started to create Alex photo album using digital scrapbooking. Then I started thinking of doing wedding and Christmas give-aways as a business. It's so new to me but I'm really enjoying it! I realized that I have the "creativeness" in me, after all. :)

So...can I be a writer someday? Who knows... God might be up to something for me... (*wink*)
