Good Food and Good Company at MIL's Birthday

On our way to my in-laws' house, Hubby and I discussed on what we are getting for car insurance next year. We ended up with nothing because we are trying to sell the car and deciding about it won't be a good idea. Anyway, we will just probably talk about it again if we will be able to sell the car hopefully within the year.

We got my in-laws' house at around 7:30PM last Friday because traffic was a bit bad at EDSA. We were just in time for dinner and some close friends of my in-laws were already there.

The food was great. They ordered for Chinese food like Cold cuts, Soup, Yangchow Fried Rice, Beef with Broccoli, Fried Chicken, and Pork Spareribs. Desserts were everywhere! We had Lansones, Mango, Sugarhouse Cake, Almond Jelly, and pastries from Conti's. It was heaven for me! LOL! But of course, I couldn't eat everything all at once because of my diet and blood sugar, so I had to eat it every hour. I had the time of my life! :D

Everyone was so full after dinner and at exactly 8PM everyone was glued to the TV watching the opening of Beijing Olympics which was so amazing! Too bad though I didn't watch the show from the start.

After a couple of minutes, the guests (who were the close friends of my in-laws) started calling it a night while we were left there waiting for the parade of athletes. After the parade of the Philippine athletes we then called it a night. Except for Hubby who watched again for the lighting of the torch which happened at around 12 Midnight. Since I couldn't sleep yet, I watched too, and was amazed by the fireworks. It was just great and overwhelming! They really did a great job on that one.

It was a long night indeed but we had so much fun and I'm sure MIL also had the time of her life. :)
